Bravo Battery Goes To The Aussies...

B Battery had been stuck on the outskirts of Saigon for several months at some place they called the Fishnet Factory. I called it a dump. In fact we were sitting right on top of a landfill (that’s the politically correct term). I saw rats there the size of a Texas Opossum. And contrary to popular belief Opossums are not born dead on the side of the road. Toward the middle of January we were finally given the march order to join the Aussies at FSB Julia. We got to do a lot of good shooting there, finally.  Our big surprise was meeting Gen. Abrams during one of his visits. As FSB Julia was abandoned in late February we were sent to Bien Hoa Army Base.
